The PGP College of Agricultural Sciences (PGPCAS, Namakkal) is a dream comes true of our beloved Chairman Dr. Palani G Periasamy M.A.,M.A., Ph.D (USA) with an aim to provide a supportive and challenging environment in which students acquire knowledge and adhere to high ethical standards and to aid qualified students in pursuing graduate and professional studies in the field of agriculture. It was established in the year 2013 with the approval from Government of Tamil Nadu as per G.O (Ms) No. 138 of Agriculture (AU) department, Chennai dated July 1, 2013. The College is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore vide Proceedings No.E.1/1320/2012 from the Office of Registrar, Tamil Nadu Agricultural university, Coimbatore dated July 8th 2013. It is the first Agricultural College established in and around the areas of Namakkal and Salem ddistricts for the benefit of students and farmers. It is one of the blooming agriculture institutions of high repute which imparts quality education in agriculture for the overall development of students with high professional knowledge and also helps them to realize their full potential to serve our country.

Location

The PGP College of Agricultural Sciences, Palani nagar, Senthamangalam block, Namakkal district is located at 3 km east of Namakkal town which is famous for farming, poultry industry, educational institutions and transport industry. The College is spread over an area of 110 acres of arable land and is of green campus. The College has a separate four storey building complex of 80,000 sq.ft. with very spacious lecture halls, laboratories, staff rooms, library hall, seminar halls, Auditorium etc.,

Governing Council

The College activities are governed by the Governing Council created for the purpose in accordance with the Acts and Statutes of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
