First Graduation Day 2019

PGP College of Agricultural Sciences, dream of our beloved Chairman Dr.Palani G Periasamy organised its First Graduation ceremony in the college premises on 25 th May 2019. It is the most auspicious day for our institution. Graduates passed out during the academic year 2013 – 2017 received their graduation certificates from the Chief Guest Dr.N.Kumar, Vice Chancellor, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Nearly 70 graduates got their graduation.
Followed by Chief Guest warded five medals to the students who have academic excellence in various departments during the course of study.

  • Ms.R.Keerthana backed three awards Dr. Norman E Borlaug Award for Crop Improvement courses, Dr.Amartya Sen Award for Social Science courses, Dr.APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Academic Excellence
  • Mr. S. NarendraVignesh is awarded with Dr. T.V.Ramakrishna Ayyar for Crop Protection Courses
  • Ms. K. Kiruthika is awarded with Dr.Palani G Periasamy award for Best Outgoing Student

Our Students of PGPCAS got several awards, recognitions and certificates.

  • Ms.M.Krishnega of II year B.Sc. (Agri.) of 2015 batch scored centum in Maths emerging as the University topper in the first semester
  • Mr.A.Praveen Kumar of III year B.Sc.(Agri.) has secured the University 2nd rank in Plant Pathology in the third semester.
  • Students unveiled their talents in sports by achieving first place in shot-put and high jump at Inter Collegiate Tournament (ICT), TNAU, Coimbatore and also won first place in Cricket at ICT- Zonal level.
  • The refinement performance of PGPCAS students in various Inter Agri Cultural Competitions awarded them N number of prizes from other colleges. Two of our students N. Ahamed Raza and Praveen Keeran participated in FREEDOM’15, ADAC & RI,TNAU, Trichy had secured the 2nd place in the finals.
  • M. Gokulakrishnan and B.Sivasenthil kumar secured 2nd place in state level quiz competition conducted at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, during 2020.
  • With the experience gained from participation in other competitions and guidance from faculties, our students are organising Inter Agri Cultural Competition-AGROSENTIA, Intra College Sports meet-CLEMENTIA and various other competitions.

During the College and Annual day, the student toppers of each year were complimented with certificates and prizes and also Best Outgoing student award was given to the final year student based on overall performance in Academic, Discipline, Sports and Extracurricular activities.
